Steubenville Probable Cause Hearing: Dox About Matt Belardine Contradicted By Two Witnesses
There have been a number of cases where anonymous people have ‘doxed’ different people connected to the Steubenville rape case. When nameless people post information, it really should be given little or no credence but in this story, people have been prone to repeat rumors.
Matt Belardine is an assistant football coach as Steubenville “Big Red” High School and as part of the general smear campaign against the football program, he’s been defamed by the cowards who make any claim they want since they believe they can’t be found or sued.
There are numerous statements in the following paragraph that aren’t supported by any evidence at all, such as the claim the accuser was drugged. The dox said this:
PLEASE NOTE IN AUGUST 2012 ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH AT STEUBENVILLE HIGH SCHOOL, MATT BELARDINE, HOSTED A PARTY WHICH SUPPLIED ALCOHOL TO MINORS. AS A RESULT, A 16 GIRL OLD GIRL WAS DRUGGED AND RAPED BY INTOXICATED FOOTBALL PLAYERS WHILE SHE WAS UNCONSCIOUS. IF YOUR CHILD WAS PRESENT AT THIS PARTY, I URGE YOU TO PRESS CHARGES AGAINST MATT BELARDINE FOR SUPPLYING ALCOHOL TO A MINOR, A MISDEMEANOR OFFENSE. THE MORE PARENTS WHO COME FORWARD AND PRESS CHARGES, THE LESS LIKELY HE WILL BE ALLOWED TO WORK WITH MINORS IN THE FUTURE, AND ONE MORE PERSON CONTRIBUTING TO THESE CRIMES IS KEPT FROM YOUR CHILDREN. This is not what was said by two witnesses in court. In fact, they testified that it was Matt who broke the party up.
According to that testimony, the party was thrown by Matt Belardine’s 16 year old sister. I’ve redacted her name but the party is referred to time and again as her party.
Who supplied the alcohol? One witness testified that he brought his own.
Nobody testified that Matt supplied them alcohol. And two people mentioned that Matt was actually the one who broke up the party and it’s implied that Matt Belardine wasn’t at the party, then came home and broke it up.
And…
In this section, the witness says they brought alcohol and that some was there. The party is once again referred to as the sister’s.
